How to disable inbuilt task killers for App-Spy

Smartphones can make many things but with each Android version and smartphone developer each device has a more powerful resource allocator optimization for a lower battery consumption. This may sound as a good thing on the battery life but for any app that is working in background such as App-Spy this is a deal-killer. These battery settings are task killers for any app that is working in background. App-Spy is working mostly in background (collecting data) and is an app with many permissions (to access different data in order to collect it for you) so it is a direct target for any battery optimizer. Many task killers are so powerful that block even apps like alarm clocks, health apps and even calendar events. This is why following next steps is very important to make App-Spy work properly on any Android version and device model.

First, we always recommend to enable notification for App-Spy as by doing this you'll make app's processes to work in foreground so less chances to be killed. This is explained step-by-step in first poin I.Enable notification for App-Spy. As newer the Android version as more important this steps is so please start with it on any model. After it, check in the menu your model and go to this. If your model name is missing then follow steps from II. Dizable Doze Battery Optimization. By doing these steps you'll make sure App-Spy's processes aren't interrupted, blocked or even the app is not uninstalled at all.

First follow next steps, especially the one's from I:
I. Activate the notification
II. Disable Doze battery optimization (for all devices with Android 6.0 and higher)

Now choose your phone model and follow the specific steps:
III. For Samsung devices - Disable Device Care/Device Maintenance/Smart Manager optimizations
IV. For Xiaomi devices - Enable AutoStart and other Battery settings
V. For Sony devices - Disable battery STAMINA/ULTRA STAMINA mode and other settings
VI. For HTC devices - Disable Extreme power saving mode
VII. For Huawei devices - Activate Protected apps and Startup Manager and disable Power consumption option
VIII. For Vivo devices iManager and Power consumption settings
IX. For OPPO devices - Data saving or Energy saver
X. For Asus devices - Power Master or Auto-start Manager
XI. For Infinix devices - Phone Master or X Manager
XII. For OnePlus devices - Disable Battery optimization and App Auto-Launch
XIII. For Realme devices - Battery Settings for background apps

I. Activate the notification for App-Spy (for all devices, any Android version)

When you activate the notification for App-Spy you are doing its processes to work in foreground. That means that the Android Operating System (OS) will recognize the App-Spy software as an active app and will never stop or freeze its processes. This is why the notification is a necessary setting especially on higher Android versions. More than this, you have the option to take off the notification after you enable the processes in foreground.

How to activate the notification
You can do this either when you first install and run the app (by checking the small checkbox for activating the notification), either after. Here is how: - Open the application by dialing #12345678# and tap on call button;
- Press on the small checkbox for activating the notification;
- Tap on Accept - Next and after on Exit.

You can choose to not show the notification at any time, while the processes will still be active. Basically the notification’s processes will still be there but without being displayed.

How to take off the notification by leaving its processes ON
Go to tarhet phone’s Menu -> tap on Settings -> tap on Apps & notifications -> tap on see all xx apps -> select Backup -> Uncheck the Show notifications box -> tap OK.
Now the notification will NOT appear in the notifications bar but its processes still be ON so App-Spy’s processes will not be paused or stopped. However, if you still see the notification just restart the device with internet ON.

II. Disable Doze battery optimization (for all devices with Android 6.0 and higher)

This applies for ALL the Android devices which are running Android 6.0 or a higher version no matter the model.

How to Dizable Doze Baterry Optimization:
- Go to target device's Settings;
- Tap on Battery;
- Tap on the three-dots icon from the top-right corner;
- Tap on Battery optimization;
- Tap on the small arrow icon which is pointing downward and select; All apps

- Tap on Backup icon and select the Don’t optimize option;
- Tap on Done button to confirm the changes.

III. Disable Device Care/Device Maintanance/Smart Manager optimizations (for Samsung devices)

One of the Samsung devices inbuilt task killers is the Smart Manager(Android Marshmallow or below)/Device Maintenance (Android Oreo or Nougat)/Device Care (Android Pie and higher) feature which is acting like a resource allocator system. If up until Android 10 Samsung's inbuilt task killer wasn't the most agresive on the market even if Samsung is one of the most used Android models worldwide, starting Android 11 this changed a lot and Samsung devices' task killers became one of the most agressive on the market. Another task killer that is killing background apps such as App-Spy on Samsung devices with higher Android versions is Knox that technically is protecting your device but also kiling any background app.
If your target device is a Samsung then it’s likely to have one these resource allocators implemented: Smart Manager, Device Maintenance, Device Care or Battery optimization and you need to deactivate the default optimizations for App-Spy.

Here’s how you can do that for Android 5.x and 6.x (Smart Manager):
